Macassar title deeds delivered

Macassar families are the most recent beneficiaries of title deeds for their homes as part of the City’s metro-wide title deed handover campaign. The Deed to Door campaign has been ongoing for more than a year as the City works hard to hand out deeds and create more homeowners, providing security of tenure and contributing to financial stability. At the same time, the City held a roadshow event which gives residents the opportunity to speak to the City directly in their neighbourhood.
‘I am excited to be in Macassar today to spend time with our residents. With every title deed we hand over, the City is making a meaningful impact on the lives of people in our communities. We’ve been working through our initial list of thousands of unlinked deeds and are committed to delivering as many as we can. By going across the metro, we’re delivering title deeds and advancing our shared journey toward home ownership. We understand that visiting a housing office isn’t always easy, so we’re bringing our services directly to the people.
‘It is meaningful to see City officials representing various Human Settlements departments all in one venue to offer advice and guidance to our residents. This is part of my commitment that through our roadshows, we bring services to our people. We are taking Human Settlements directly to communities. We always look forward to engaging with even more residents as we roll out the next phase of this programme in the coming weeks. If you or a family member is a beneficiary of a City unit without a title deed, here's what you need to do:
• Visit us at a roadshow event or at the Cape Town Civic Centre, 2nd Floor Human Settlements Kiosk on Monday to Friday between 09:00 to 12:00.
• Have the following documents ready:
Owner ID and spouse ID (if applicable)
Marriage certificate (if applicable)
In the event of a death, provide a Letter of Authority and Death Certificate
The title deed email request must include the following information:
Subject: Erf number and Area
Body of the email:
• Name and Surname: (The name in which the title deed is registered)
• ID number
• Address
